A suspected kidnapper has been apprehended by men of the Delta State Police Command.

After he was arrested, a vehicle belonging to an abducted man in Ozubulu,  Anambra was recovered.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, September 21, said the suspect, Onyeka Ozoh, was arrested at his hideout in Issele-uku based on credible intelligence.

According to the PPRO, the suspect claimed he bought the car at the cost of N1.5m.

"On the 17/9/2022 at about 1100hours, the DPO Issel-uku Division, acting on credible intelligence, that a suspected kidnapper is hibernating somewhere in Issel-uku, detailed operatives to the said hideout and arrested one Onyeka Ozoh ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Ogbe-ofu quarters Issel-uku and recovered a red colour Toyota Camry without registration number,"

"The suspect claimed that he bought the vehicle at Onitsha at the cost of one Million, five hundred thousand naira (#1,500,000) and that all original documents were with the previous owner

"However, investigations later revealed that the vehicle belongs to one man (name withheld) who was kidnapped on 20/8/2022 at Ozubulu in Anambra State, released after a ransom was paid and the vehicle taken from him. Suspect will be transferred to Anambra Police Command for further investigation."

Sheggz while trying to defend him, insisted that he had no idea she wasn't putting on underwear.
 
Bella did not seem to be having it, and that’s how it all started.

 The court ruling came after the Federal Government, in a suit, had filed for an application for an order compelling ASUU to call off its strike.


 
The Academic Staff Union on Universities, UNILAG chapter has reacted to an order by the National Industrial Court asking lecturers to return to the classroom.
 
The order was given on Wednesday.
 
Recall that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike for seven months now.
 
The court ruling came after the Federal Government, in a suit, had filed for an application for an order compelling ASUU to call off its strike.
 
When asked to react to the court ruling, the Chairman of ASUU, University of Lagos chapter, UNILAG, Dr. Dele Ashiru simply said the Union will respond. 
 
“So wait for the union to respond. I am not the union. It’s a national strike, it’s not a local strike. 
 
Wait for the reaction of the national. The national body will give a directive as to what to do,” he said.

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President of Nigeria has reacted after some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) decided to pull out of the 2023 campaign.

The PDP presidential flagbearer also commented on their insistence that the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, leaves the position

Atiku said he was surprised by their withdrawal because apart from the Rivers chapter, all other states submitted names of people who they wanted in the Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Wazirin Adamawa noted that the decision of Ayu to resign from office is personal, and neither he nor anyone else can make that decision.

“As a committed democrat and firm believer in the rule of law and democratic tenets, and our party being one set up, organized and regulated by law and our constitution, it is my absolute belief that everything that we do in our party must be done in accordance with, and conformity to, the law and our constitution.

“If Dr. Ayu is to be removed from office, it must be done in accordance with the laws that set out the basis for such removal. In any event, you will all recall that the very body that is empowered by law to initiate this removal from office, has already passed a vote of confidence in him.

“Now, our nation is currently in the throes of a multidimensional crisis encompassing insecurity, economic meltdown, disunity and mutual mistrust and educational dislocations, to mention a few.

“I have a plan to address these issues and I have, graciously, been given the ticket to lead our great party in next year’s presidential elections, with the singular mandate to come and lead the efforts to cure these ills.

“It is in this light that I have reached out to every single member of our great party to join me in the massive undertaking required to reset the ship of state and help rebuild our country.

“And it is my fervent hope and prayer that every man and woman of goodwill will join hands with us to help rebuild and reposition our beloved country.”

Atiku urged PDP members that have stated their resolve to withdraw from the Presidential Campaign Council to rethink and retrace their steps.

“The above notwithstanding and for the sake of our country, our children, and those yet unborn, we must not, for one minute, shirk our responsibilities to rebuild this beloved country of ours.

“Accordingly, we must forge on with the task and the mandate that we have been bestowed with. It is time, therefore, to move on with the formidable tasks of nation building ahead of us”, his statement added.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, a former Nigerian President, has met with former Military leaders-Generals Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar.

He paid a private visit to the former military leaders in Minna, Niger state.

The former president met the two leaders separately in their uphill homes in the afternoon.

Answering questions from Journalists after the meeting, Goodluck Jonathan described the visit as a regular one to the former Elder Statesmen.

“The visit is just the normal regular one especially being the youngest of all the former leaders.

“It is also an opportunity for me to visit General Abdusalami Abubakar who has just come back from a treatment abroad and also took time to visit General Babangida,” he remarked.

 The pastor spoke of the controversies in his ministry during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the media entrepreneur.

The founder of SPAC Nation, Tobi Adegboyega, has made a dazzling claim.

The pastor claimed that his church took more knives off the streets of the UK than the Metropolitan Police.

The pastor spoke of the controversies in his ministry during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the media entrepreneur.

Adegboyega said converts often surrendered drugs on the altar while UK police officers would collect them.

He also claimed his church achieved a lot more in curbing knife crime in the UK than the Met Police in one year.

“I think we got known because we were not just in a static place. We didn’t wait for people to come to us. We went to people. We went from 200 and 300 [members to about 1000 plus, all of a sudden,” the cleric said.

“We discovered that we were connecting more with the people we wanted to reach. We would finish the service and our altar would be filled with all manner of drugs. We didn’t even know how to report to the police.

“We were just doing our thing. At times I would say that, if the police came in, we would be in trouble because where we used was not even a church building. After that, the police started their amnesty.

“There’s knife crime in the UK. We took more knives off the streets in one year than the metropolitan police. After each service, at least three police vans would come to collect things that people had surrendered on the altar.”

Adegboyega earlier addressed the backlash that trailed his mingling with secular musicians and display of wealth.

In June, the UK government shut down Adegboyega’s church over fraud allegations.

It said SPAC failed to account for more than £1.87 million in expenditure and operated with non-transparency.

In commemoration of the 31st anniversary of the creation of Jigawa state, the government has declared Friday, August 26, has been declared a work-free day.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila.

According to the statement, Governor Badaru Abubakar congratulated the civil servants and entire people of the state on the occasion.

The statement further enjoined the people to pray for the state and the country at large while celebrating the day.

He advised public servants and the entire people of the state to utilize the one-day break in thanking the Almighty Allah for a conducive atmosphere, and peaceful co-existence and pray for his intervention to salvage the nation from the lingering security challenges.

Jigawa State was created out of the old Kano State on Tuesday 27th August 1991 by the then military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

 The spokesman of the PDP presidential campaign, in an interview with Daily Trust, noted that the PDP defeated Tinubu in his ancestral home (Osun State).


 
The spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign, Dino Melaye has boasted that the party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in Lagos State.
 
Melaye made the claim in an interview with Daily Trust.
 
He urged people to take their minds back how the PDP defeated Tinubu in his ancestral home (Osun State).
 
The victory of the PDP saw Tinubu’s cousin who is the Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola defeated.
 Melaye further stated that if the election is held in Lagos today, PDP will win the election.
 
The former lawmaker noted that Atiku was widely received in Lagos during his visit to the state.
 
Melaye said that Nigerians want his principal, adding that he will win the 2023 presidential election.
 
The ex-legislator,  while speaking in the interview, said, “the ancestral home of Tinubu, he was defeated by the PDP which removed his first cousin as governor.

“If the election is conducted in Lagos today PDP will win the election, Atiku will defeat Tinubu, Atiku was in Lagos two days ago, and he was received everywhere he goes. The people want him and he is going to win the election.”

The slayqueen who seems to love long nails but finds it difficult to cook unhindered with them has found an innovative solution to her problem.

She shared a video of herself in a kitchen preparing soup while showing off her long nails, one of which is modified to be a sizable fork.

While turning the soup with it, she could be heard saying she’s preparing the dish for her boyfriend and his friends, as she requested for cooking tips from her followers.

A Nigerian man has opined that single ladies over 30 should remain unmarried because they are the cause of their predicament.

According to the narration of the man, his mother emphasized the benefit of marrying at an early age especially for a woman.

He used his aunts as a case study for his argument, disclosing that they are over 40 and unmarried because when they were younger, they kept turning down suitors who were not so wealthy.

“So I was talking with my mum the other day and she she began to lament abount my aunties predicaments.

3 of them are educated and over 40, yet unmarried

The first lives in asaba, she used to be extremely beautiful (and still is for guys who may not be interested in wifing young, energetic beautiful women with fresh blood) and uncouth.

She used to attract loads of admirers and guys were trooping in to ask for her hands in marriage when she was in her 20s. She not only turned them down but made mockery of the legit hussling guys at the time, she mocked their financial status and embarrassed those who persisted.

Most of the men approaching her at the time are happily married and doing well for themselves now but my aunty is still visiting one prayer house to another seeking the hands of God in her life. I was told she resorted to online dating after men were no longer showing interest as usual and lost huge sums of money in a romance scam.

The latter is the exact opposite of the former in terms of looks and character.

This one was and is still very ugly but with good character. She had a suitor who was ready to marry her in her 20s, the man happened to be in his late 50s.

She seeked advice from her sisters and friends, they all agreed that this well to do man was too old for their young, albeit ugly sister. They tricked her into believing that she would find young, rich, educated suitors who would seek her hands in marriage in no distant time.

They raised the bar so high that aunty suddenly forgot she was a female version of SHREK(ogre), she developed the Prince charming fanstasy and chased this educated, rich old man away. Ever since then, she has been falling for guys who only want to swim, eat her money and run away.

Today shes happily married with grandchildren, while some of those who mocked her then are living miserable as old spinsters, second or third wife’s or hooking up small boys young enough to be their kids in town.

So I told my mum squarely that I’m not sympathetic to their travails and that they deserve every bit of it.

According to her, Joseph had a very poor performance during the match and contributed to his team’s loss.
