Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, a former Juventus president, has said the club made a mistake by signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gigli also claimed Ronaldo is hindering the club’s efforts to win back the Serie A title and wants him sold before the summer transfer window closes.

Ronaldo joined Juve from Real Madrid in a €100million transfer before the 2018/2019 campaign.

The 36-year-old is now into the final year of his contract.

But Gigli, who was Juve’s president between 2006 and 2009, told SerieANews: “I’ve always been honest: signing Ronaldo was a mistake. It’s impossible to recoup the investment and it will remain that way.

“He’s a great player, but I have to be honest – the sooner he leaves, the better for him and for Juventus.

“I hope that [Juve head coach] Massimiliano Allegri knows how to continue using him like he did against Udinese. That is, with intelligence and when the game is in progress.

“Ronaldo hampers Juventus’ attack. Without him, they can do excellent things in collective terms.”

Ronaldo leaves Madrid with a legacy littered with smashed records and a haul of trophies.

He is the Spanish club's all-time top scorer with 450 goals in all competitions and won two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies with them.

Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon has likened Real Madrid's star, Cristiano Ronaldo to Pele and Diego Maradona.

Buffon and Ronaldo

Even though Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals to ruin Gianluigi Buffon's Champions League dreams, the goalkeeper was full of praise for the Real Madrid man after Tuesday night's 3-0 win for Los Blancos.

Ronaldo scored a brace in Los Blancos’ quarterfinal first-leg win over the defending Serie A champions.

The second was a brilliant overhead kick, that left Buffon stranded.
He said; “He’s one of those players who can have such a huge influence over the number of games and titles their sides win.

"Ronaldo is a player who is at an incredible level. Ronaldo's worth is comparable to [Diego] Maradona, [Lionel] Messi or Pele.
"My Champions League dream isn't possible because the best has stopped it.
He also had kind words to the Real Madrid team as a whole. "We played against champions of an incredible level," he added.
"Their ability makes everything much more difficult and it forced us to become less precise than usual.
"It is hugely disappointing and in the end we probably won't progress. But it is also true that in certain situations you must take stock and compliment an opponent that was stronger."

The return leg takes place in Madrid next Wednesday.

Some fans of Cristiano Ronaldo who were apparently star-struck, have employed desperate measures to see the man during a football match.
A fan stormed the pitch to kiss Ronaldo

Portuguesel football star, Cristiano Ronaldo was given a kiss by a pitch invader during Portugal’s 3-0 defeat by Holland on Monday night.

Portugal lost the match by 3 goals to nil at the end of the match.

Portugal were already three goals down when Joao Cancelo received a second yellow card and was sent off during the friendly.

As the game was about to restart following Cancelo’s dismissal, a number of fans raced onto the pitch at Stade de Geneve in Switzerland.

One supporter – clearly very fond of Ronaldo – ran up to the Real Madrid star and planted a kiss on his left cheek.

Another fan tried to meet the Portugal star

Ronaldo looked nonplussed about the man’s gesture before he was substituted in the 67th minute – even then one fan tried to grab him for a photograph as he walked to the players’ tunnel.

It was a disappointing night overall for Ronaldo and his Portugal team-mates.

Expected to beat Holland, they appeared lethargic and went behind when Memphis Depay scored after 11 minutes.

Former Liverpool player Ryan Babel doubled Holland’s lead not long before Virgil van Dijk applied a calm finish in first-half stoppage time.

Real Madrid were denied a third straight league win thanks to a late goal from Levante substitute Giampaolo Pazzini. Giampaolo Pazzini came off the bench to score a dramatic late equaliser on his debut, earning Levante a shock 2-2 draw at home to LaLiga champions Real Madrid. Fellow substitute Isco thought his own late goal would prove decisive for Madrid but Pazzini struck in the 89th minute to earn the relegation-threatened hosts a crucial point against the LaLiga champions. The visitors headed to Ciutat de Valencia with back-to-back league victories under their belt, prompting hopes Zinedine Zidane’s men were turning the corner despite the shock Copa del Rey quarter-final loss to Leganes. But although the Frenchman was able to name what many consider his strongest starting line-up for the first time this season, his side were twice pegged back by Levante and denied the chance to move above Valencia into third position. Sergio Ramos headed in an early opener from Toni Kroos’ corner, setting a new record as the Spain international became the first defender to score in 14 successive LaLiga seasons. But Levante levelled before the break as a simple ball down the middle sent Jose Luis Morales racing away from Ramos and, although Keylor Navas made the save, Emmanuel Boateng was in the right place to tuck in the rebound. Isco’s goal from Karim Benzema’s pass with nine minutes left appeared to have rescued Madrid, but Zidane’s men fatally switched off at the back, Pazzini beating Navas with an effort that was too powerful for the goalkeeper to keep out.

It seems Cristiano Ronaldo aka CR7 does not only want to leave a mark in football but also in the movie industry.
Ronaldo who is current Ballon D’Or winner, told Sky Italia his future plans. He said ” I am focused right now because my football career will finish one day – we all have to retire one day. “I know that day will come. But right now, I am enjoying the moment. When I am retired, I think I will have a good life. I don’t say that because of money. “I want to try other things; for example, to do movies. I started to plan my future when I was 27, 28 – a long time ago, I began preparing. “I have a good team, who work in my company, who start to build good things going forward. In football, I am very calm because I know they depend on me.” I think he would make a great actor. Do you?
