Oh No: Commotion As Building Collapses In Lagos, Leaves Two Persons Dead

A building has reportedly collapsed in a community in Lagos State, leaving as many as two persons dead.

According to a report by The Guardian, two persons, yesterday, lost their lives, while several others were injured, when a distressed building suffered partial collapse in Agege area of Lagos. The building is located at No. 9, Abeje Street Markaz, Agege.
 
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the dead residents were 35-year-old Toyin Ogundimu and 11-year-old Sherifat Olalere.
 
The agency also disclosed that its men and other emergency first responders rescued one Mustapher Salaudeen, who got trapped. He was, however, treated at the scene by the ambulance crew.
 
The General manager, LASEMA, Mr Adesina Tiamiyu advised occupants of residential buildings in the state not to ignore wreckage and cracks signs of building.
