Horror As Housewife Stabs Husband To Death With Kitchen Knife In Lagos (Photos)

A house has opened up to security operatives why she took a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband to death.

A housewife, Mrs. Damilola Ayeni, who stabbed her husband, Olumide to death in Lagos has finally opened up on what made her to kill her husband during a domestic brawl, according to a report by PM Express.
 
It was gathered that she used a kitchen knife to stab her husband on the left side of his chest, he bled profusely and died at the Lagos Island General Hospital.
 
Confessing on why she killed her husband, the embattled Damilola said that she did not set out to kill him but lost control due to anger and she eventually murdered him.
 
The incident happened at Gbamgboye Street, Lagos Island. She was arrested, taken to SCIID Panti, Yaba, Lagos and charged for murder.
 
Mrs. Damilola said that she had not come to terms with what really happened on that day and wished it never happened. She recalled that their two years marriage with two children was characterized with crises on suspicions of infidelity and mistrust which resulted to constant quarrelling and fighting that eventually led to her husband’ s death.
 
She has been charged before the Ebute Metta Magistrates court and arraigned for murder. The prosecutor, Inspector Mana Dauda, informed the court that it was a case of domestic violence that led to the death of the victim.
 
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O  Ajibade, did not take her plea and denied her bail. The court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
 
Damilola may be tried at the High Court if the DPP finds her culpable and recommends her for murder trial. If she is found guilty, she may spend the rest of her life in prison.
 
The late Olumide hailed from Ondo State and was a staff of Lagos Island Hospital where he died. He was 36 years while the embattled wife was 23years when the incident happened on 3rd August, 2018.
